Wedding Floristry - Intensive Course Starts 19th June 2025
Welcome to the world of Wedding Floristry!
Join our hands-on course spanning over two weeks, with each session focused on a specific area of wedding flowers. You will master both the creative and logistical aspects of designing a wedding from start to finish. As you explore the ins and outs of event floristry, you’ll build your confidence while learning about design, color palettes, and how to work with a client's mood board or style.
Under the expert guidance of Elise Ross, Owner and Head Florist at Elyssium Blooms—a respected wedding florist on the Gold Coast—you will receive personalised, hands-on training. With 21 years of industry experience, Elise shares her practical knowledge and genuine passion for creating beautiful floral designs for weddings and events. You’ll benefit from her expertise and receive supportive instruction throughout your learning journey.
All of our courses are small and intimate, giving you the confidence and support needed to learn and grow as a wedding florist and get plenty of 1:1 time with Elise during each lesson. She is an open book for you to learn from during these sessions.
This course runs over 2 weeks, 2 days per week on a Thursday & Friday 9:30am - 3:30pm starting 19th June 2025.
Wedding Floristry Masterclass Overview
Day 1: Bridal Party and Personal Flowers
Kick off the course by learning to create bridal bouquets, buttonholes, flower crowns, and wristlets. We’ll cover essential prep work to ensure long-lasting blooms, including hydration techniques and safe packaging for delivery. Learn how to create beautiful personal flowers that will be cherished by the bridal party.
Day 2: Ceremony Installations
As a group, we will dive into designing impactful ceremony floral installations. From floral towers and archways to aisle flowers, you’ll learn essential design techniques and the importance of sketching out your ideas to bring your client’s vision to life. This session will be a collaborative experience, allowing us to work together to create the perfect ceremony setting.
Day 3: Hanging Installations and Large-Scale Designs
Who doesn't love a fun installation!
As a group we’ll cover everything from design concepts to the mechanics and materials needed to creating dramatic overhead arrangements that wow guests. You’ll gain practical skills to transform any venue into a breathtaking floral wonderland.
Day 4: Reception Flowers, Tablescapes and Afternoon Tea
In our final week, each student will design a romantic garden-style arrangement for a wedding reception. We’ll then come together as a group to create a beautiful tablescape that mimics a real wedding reception space. This session will also include specific designs for the bridal table. We’ll explore texture combinations, mechanics, and cohesive design principles. To wrap up, we’ll hold a Q&A session to discuss everything you’ve learned over the course duration.
To celebrate your achievements, enjoy a delightful afternoon tea at our beautifully styled table, where you can reflect on your creations and network with fellow participants at the end of the day.
Throughout this course, you’ll receive personalised guidance and share in Elise's wealth of knowledge and experience from designing hundreds of weddings throughout the years. The skills you gain will be immeasurable, equipping you to bring your floral visions to life with confidence and creativity.

This exclusive masterclass has been designed for already budding florists with either a basic skill set in floral design and/or intermediate florists wanting to level up.

Our courses are run from Evergreen at The Foliage Farm, a private venue in Mount Nathan located in the Gold Coast Hinterland. You will receive the address one week prior to your course start date. We are unable to advertise the address publicly.

Full Payment Upfront $3,400.00 (discounted rate if paying in full).
Payment Plan A - $1,000.00 Upfront Payment then four payments of $650.00 due May 22nd 2025, May 29th 2025, June 5th 2025 and June 12th 2025. These will be invoiced to you separately.
